RANK STRUCTURE WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT
-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS
--HIGH COMMAND TEAM • Chief of Police / CoP () The Chief of Police (COP) is the highest-ranking officer in the Police Department. As the Chief Executive Officer of the Police Department, the COP is responsible for the planning, efficient administration, and operation of the Police Department. In this capacity, the COP directs, plans, and coordinates the enforcement of particular areas of crime, and aims to minimize crime risks across the entire city, to protect persons and property and for the preservation of the peace of the community.
• Assistant Chief of Police / ACoP () The Assistant Chief of Police (ACoP) keeps the Chief of Police informed of all operational activities on a day-to-day basis. The Assistant Chief directs the activities of either the administrative or operational side of the Police Department.
• Commander () A role similar to an Assistant General Manager or Vice President of a corporation, a Commander is the second highest rank in the Police Department and reports directly to the Chief of Police. They direct the activities of a specific office consisting of several divisions of the Police Department.
Examples of available roles include: - Director of Special Operations - Officer's Administrator - Chief of Staff
--COMMAND TEAM • Captain / Cpt () Upon completion of 3 months as a Lieutenant, one can advance to Captain. A Captain, resembling a District Manager of a large corporation, has a choice of roles alongside his or her general departmental administration, which may include serving as the Commanding Officer of a Division. A Captain is responsible for inspecting and overseeing the functions of the patrol officers to ensure compliance with the Department policies, procedures, regulations, and standards; supervising the administrative and support functions personnel; inspecting personnel, facilities, and tactics for safety and/or training needs; maintaining liaison with numerous municipal, governments, civic organizations, and private citizens to establish and maintain rapport to facilitate Department functions and to promote neighborhood safety and community policing programs.
Examples of available roles include: - Assistant Director of Special Operations - Assistant Officer's Administrator - Assistant Chief of Staff - (assistant) Watch Commander - Commanding Officer of a Division, etc. - Command Training Scheme Instructor
• Lieutenant / Lt () After serving four months as a Sergeant one is eligible to promote to the next classification on the ladder upon a successful completion of the competitive Command Training Scheme, which includes an application, examination, interview and one-on-one training. Similar to a Second Level Manager for a large corporation, a Lieutenant, being part of the Command Team, takes the rolls of general departmental administration. This includes the handling of officer files and records, reinstatement and transfer requests, deliberations on departmental changes, as well as the expectation to conduct regular supervisory patrol.
Examples of roles include: - Assistant Commanding Officer of a Division, etc. - Command Training Scheme Instructor
-NON COMMISSIONED OFFICERS --SERGEANT TEAM • Sergeant III / Sgt III () After serving two months as a Sergeant one is eligible to apply for the Command Training Scheme, including an application, examination, interview and training. If a Sergeant II is promoted to Sergeant III, they have been accepted into the Command Training Scheme and their training is now underway. All roles are the same as Sergeant II.

• Sergeant II / Sgt II () After serving two months as a Sergeant I one becomes eligible to be promoted to Sergeant II. A Sergeant II position is a supervisory position with specialized and administrative assignments. A Sergeant II supervises a group of Police Officers and/or civilian employees and instructs them in the performance of their assigned duties.
Examples of available roles include: - Shift Sergeant - Sergeant Training Scheme Instructor
• Sergeant I / Sgt I () Much like a department manager, a Sergeant I aids a Commanding Officer in management of a specific Shift, consisting of Police Officers. A Sergeant I is required to provide instruction to assigned staff in the operation of their required duties. The basic capacity of a Sergeant I is field supervision, but administrative and specialized assignments are also available. Some Sergeants perform initial and follow-up investigation of crimes and perform surveillance work to detect or prevent crime.
Examples of available roles include: - Assistant Shift Supervisor - Officer-in-Charge of a unit within a Division or Team, etc - Detective III
--PATROL OFFICERS • Corporal / Corp () After a month of being a Police Officer III, an officer becomes eligible for the promotion to Corporal. A Corporal is tasked with the first level of scene management, and may engage on the Sergeant Training Scheme once they have been a Corporal for over one month. This process includes an application, reference, interview, training and examination.
Examples of available roles include: - Basic Car Senior Officer - Senior Field Training Officer - Senior Traffic Officer - Recruitment and Employment Officer
• Police Officer III / POIII () After a month of being a Police Officer II, an officer becomes eligible for the promotion to Police Officer III. A Police Officer III is responsible for enforcing laws and ordinances; protecting life and property; issuing citations, making arrests, preparing reports; meeting with community members; working as a team member; and providing information to the public and departmental units.
Examples of available roles include: - Field Training Officer - Detective I - Special Weapons and Tactics Officer - Traffic Officer - Recruitment and Employment Officer
• Police Officer II / POII () A Police Officer II performs basic duties such as: responding to the scene of a crime or an accident; interviewing suspects and witnesses; writing crime reports; responding to radio calls; monitoring any suspicious activity of ongoing crimes; coordinating vehicular traffic; visiting open businesses such as banks, markets, department stores, and service stations to establish a rapport with owners; booking suspects and evidence and transporting them to the appropriate Police Department facility; responding to citizens' and visitors' questions; and preparing Daily Field Activity Reports.
Examples of available roles include: - Basic Car Officer - Detective-in-Training/Uniformed Detective - Traffic Officer
• Police Officer I / POI() The first step in the career ladder with the Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) is Police Officer I. It is the entry-level classification given to all LSPD officers upon entering the Police Academy. For two weeks in the Police Academy, officers are taught criminal law, human relations, and report writing. In addition, they are trained in tactics, firearms, and driving. Physical fitness and self-defense play a big part in Academy training. A Police Officer I will automatically advance to Police Officer II upon successful completion of his/her 21-day probationary period.

DIVISION/UNIT DUTIES
SWAT Division (Special Weapons And Tactics) -A SWAT team member is trained to perform tasks such as hostage rescue, riot control, assisting other officers on special tasks like drug raids, and executing anti-terrorism operations. -Must have a command confirmation of DET or IA First Before Raiding or Moving to the Crime Subject (it means DET or IA must confirm the Crime Subject first, if it is "Positive" or "Negative" before moving to subject.)
Traffic Enforcement Unit (Traffic Enforcement) -The primary duty of the Traffic Enforcement(TE) is the enforcement of traffic laws in order to reduce traffic collisions, their resulting injuries, and to facilitate the safe and expedient flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. - Responsible for under controlling traffic offences, like (car jacking, reckless driving, over speeding, wrong lane offence, ticketing wrong car parking & impounding cars)
Internal Affairs Division (Internal Affairs) -Properly conducted internal affairs investigations go beyond a finding of right or wrong, or one that is justified or not justified. They also include comprehensive and ongoing reviews of the affected policy to ensure that it conforms to contemporary law enforcement standards, court rulings, and current agency needs. (Forum & In game Complaints) -Studying Hard Case of the Suspeks.
Detective Bureau (Detective) -Examine Crime Scenes to Obtain evidence from suspects. (in game) -Analyze completed police reports to determine what additional information and investigative work is needed. ( in forum and in game ) -Undercover Investigation.
Field Training Office (Field Training Officer) -The duties of the FTO involve being a role model, clearly communicating the expectations of training, teaching the trainee the policies of the department, correctly applying concepts learned in the classroom to field training operations, and evaluating the trainee on his or her progress in the program. -Responsible for making sure shift duties are performed properly and completely.

Force Level 2 The Suspect is starting assault you or other people What to do: At This Time, You should try and cuff the suspect and give him a ticket for assault.
Force Level 3 The Suspect is holding a gun on his hands What to do: At This Time, You Should Try and Arrest him/her, But Do Not use your Tazer as you may end up discharged ((Fired ))
Force Level 4 The Suspect is starting to shoot his gun What to do: At This Time, You Should Call for Code 1 Backup, And Try to Arrest him/her or else you may end up((Fired ))
Force Level 5 The Suspect has injured you or an innocent Person What to do: At This Time, You Should Call for Code 3 Backup, And Try to Arrest him/her or else you may end up((Fired ))
Force Level 6 The Suspect is holding a person hostage with a weapon to them What to do: At This Time, You Should Request for the S.W.A.T Team to go to your location and resolve the situation and Find Cover
Force Level 7 The Suspect has barricaded themselves inside a building What to do: At This Time, You Should Request for the S.W.A.T Team to go to your location and resolve the situation and try and help them when safe to do so.

LSPD Vehicle and there Usage
LSPD Cruiser - All Officer (including cadets,but not alone) The standard police vehicle used for patrolling., include sirens and lights.
LSPD Cruiser 2 - High Command Team The standard police vehicle used for High Command Purposes., include sirens and lights.
LSPD Motorbike - LSPD Motorbike - TE Division Members Only. The standard police bike used for catching wanted criminals on pursuit, includes sirens and lights.
LSPD Rancher - All Corporal & Up. Standard issue LSPD SUV used for catching wanted criminals on off road terrain, includes sirens and lights.
LSPD Maverick - All Seargent and Up. Used for finding criminals with a unknown location and Helps the LSFMD in finding a missing person, includes searchlight.
LSPD Towtruck - TE Unit Only A vehicle used to transport disabled or illegally parked motor vehicles to another location (generally a repair garage or impound lot), or to recover vehicles which are no longer on a drivable surface
LSPD Enforcer - SWAT Division Members Only Used for High Risk Situations (( And Has it own Interior )), includes sirens and lights.
LSPD Riot Control Vehicle ((Mr.Splashy)) - SWAT Division Members Only An armored vehicle used Mostly for Riot Situations and Situations where Alot of people are at, include sirens and high powered water gun.
SWAT Van: A heavy, but slow vehicle, the Enforcer is used to transfer SWAT personel and supply units with kevlar vests. Never to be left outside due to thieves, this vehicle is may be used in blockades if used appropriately, permission of a Captain or above only.
LSPD Sultan - DET Division Members Only (for purpose) this vehicle is for Investigation purposes. (it can use for pursuit)
LSPD Buffalo - DET & IA Division Members Only. this vehicle is for Investigation & Patrolling for DETECTIVE and a vehicle for IA's Transportation (Important Trans. Only)
